About STASH:
STASH is your one stop shop for yarn, needle arts, fibre, accessories, and classes! Located in historic Inglewood, we take pride in creating a fun, welcoming, creative environment for peeps who want to craft.
We're big fans of all things fibre arts and cater to knitters, crocheters, spinners, weavers, felters, stitchers and more! Cross stitch and embroidery? We've got it! Macrame? Absolutely! Oh, and did we mention: we LOVE beginners! Whether you have never crafted in your life or are a seasoned pro, we'd be happy to help you plan the perfect project. (Did you know we have our entire Learn to Knit class available online for free? Stay tuned for Learn to Crochet!)
Originally from Corner Brook, Newfoundland, STASH owner Veronica Murphy grew up surrounded by traditional knitting. She dove headfirst into the craft during university and hasn't put her needles down since! After studying visual arts and earning her degree in sculpture, Veronica worked in the fine arts and museum industry before opening STASH in 2013.
This strong background in the visual arts allows Veronica to have fun with all forms of craft and quickly fell in love with all things fibre. She spends most of her days spreading crafty joy to other people. Veronica and the team at STASH love to teach people to craft, and work hard to create a fun, welcoming, and creative environment for crafty peeps of all skill levels.
And because owning one craft store wasn't fun enough, Veronica opened RICK RACK Textiles, a garment-focused sewing store, in 2019 and has been having double the fun ever since!
We acknowledge that as a business operating in Calgary, AB we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Blackfoot Confederacy (Siksika, Kainai, Piikani), the Tsuut’ina, the Îyâxe Nakoda Nations, the Métis Nation (Region 3), and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 7 region of Southern Alberta.
