It's time for our SIXTH annual Socktober Challenge! 

Every year with the help of our amazing customers, STASH collects socks to distribute to local non-profits, shelters, schools, and mutual aid groups.  To date, STASH and our friends at a few other yarn stores have distributed 8,227 pairs of socks across Canada! 

Last year, STASH was able to collect 1,265 pairs of socks. As always, the need for warm, clean socks never ends and we hope to continue to grow that number every year.  As always, every pair of NEW, UNWORN socks dropped off at STASH enters you into the draw to win a super STASHy gift basket valued at $300! As a reminder, handknit socks are wonderful but in this case commercial socks are best. You can bring socks for both kiddos and adults as there is always a demand for both. Grab a pack when you're getting groceries - every pair in a pack is a new entry into the draw.

This year, we're competing against Baaad Annas, Baaad Rabbit, and Little Red Mitten. Which store can collect the most socks? Help us maintain our reign as supreme sock store while helping the Calgary community.  The contest starts on October 1, 2026 and runs until end of day October 31, 2026.
