Socktober 2025

Join STASH for the 2025 Socktober Challenge! We've been collecting and distributing new (purchased, not hand knit) socks to local organizations since 2021. Last year we invited two Canadian yarn shops (Little Red Mitten and Yarns Untangled) to join us in a friendly competition to see which shop can collect the most socks for their community. With their help, we collected 2,678 pairs of socks to warm the soles of folks in Alberta and Ontario.

This year, we're opening up the challenge to more shops! Sign your shop up for a sock drive. We'll send you our easy peasy draw system and other resources to set you up for success. We recommend encouraging sock donations by putting together a prize basket - we like to offer 1 entry for every pair of new socks donated.

All we ask from you is that you update us each week with how many pairs you've collected so we can encourage the friendly competition! At the end, submit your final numbers and the store that collects the most socks will be the 2025 Socktober Champions!
