Canadian customers: We are still shipping with Ups + purolator | US shipping remains suspended at this time

Shipping to the USA

To our American customers:

shipping boxes at your door

Update June 2025:

Hi folks, we know there are some peeps anxiously awaiting for us to begin shipping to the US again. We are working hard to update our extensive catalogue of yarn and notions to comply with new trade regulations. We are required to label every item with the appropriate harmonized tarrif codes and country of origin.  Making sure we are correctly complying with all border laws is our top priority, so until we can be 100% confident in our compliance and procedures we will be holding off on international shipping.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Original post below:

U.S. President Donald Trump has announced plans to  impose tariffs of 25% on goods from Canada. The executive order also removed the de minimis customs exemption and what was once duty free for the average American is now subject to duties and taxes in addition to tariffs.

As a result of these tariffs, STASH is suspending all shipments to the USA until this trade war is resolved.

How do tariffs affect STASH and our American customers?

Tariffs costs are the responsibility of the person importing those items into the U.S. This drives the prices up for customers, complicates shipping processes, adds to the workload of U.S. Customs, and stifles cross-border business.

It also means that U.S Customs and Border Protection (CBP) must now inspect every single parcel inbound to the USA to determine country of origin of parcel contents and calculate any qualifying duties and tariffs before it enters the United States Postal Service for delivery. This is creating significant delays in shipping.

Basically, we don’t want to send parcels to you that will have additional costs due to tariffs as well as significant delays in shipping.

We look forward to a positive resolution to Trump’s tariffs and will resume shipping to the United States once this unnecessary trade war is resolved.
