Friendly Reminders for Knitted Knockers
Our friends at Knitted Knockers Alberta & Canada reached out this week with a small update to the program. They've asked everyone to fill out a short form when they drop off their Knockers so they can reach out and properly thank everyone, and share feedback when applicable. We've gone ahead and printed them for you to fill out at the shop, but if you're an eager beaver and want to print it at home you can grab the form here.
Friendly reminders for Knitting Knockers:
- Check out their approved yarns list
- Use neutral colours or pastels
- Make sure your ends are woven in and you have no ladders (they have updated the pattern to help eliminate ladders)
- No nipples, please
- No crochet knockers, please
You can bring your finished Knitted Knockers to STASH regardless of whether or not you buy your yarn here. We're happy to pass them on to this awesome group!
Knitted Knockers are hand knit, comfortable breast protheses distributed for free to mastectomy patients. If you're not local to Alberta, there's probably a local chapter near you! You can also request Knitted Knockers from your local chapter.
