Do you offer any kids classes?

Unfortunately at this time we do not offer classes for kids. There are different insurance requirements when teaching kids that we are not able to fulfill at this time.

Do you offer private, one-on-one classes?

It truly depends on instructor availability. Our calendar at STASH is very full with existing classes and many instructors also have other life commitments which can be challenging for scheduling purposes. If you are unable to attend an exisitng class you are welcome to reach out to us at 403 457 0766 to discuss options with a manager at STASH.

Do you offer private, group bookings?

Are you wanting to take an existing stash class with a group of like-minded and like-skilled friends? Then please call us at 403 457 0766 and we can talk about different options with you. Are you coordinating an event such as a bridal shower? In that case we have a lovely selection of craft-based workshops from which to choose that are suitable for peeps without any crafty experience.

What is your return policy? 

With receipt: If it is a yarn or product that we still carry, in its original packaging, then we are able to provide you with a full refund within ONE year of purchase. This gives you enough time to finish your sweater and return an unused skein of yarn!

Without receipt: Effective June 1, 2018, we are no longer able to provide credit for product returned without a receipt. Without a receipt we do not know if an item was purchased on sale or with points, and as a small business this can really add up.

Online: STASH accepts returns (excluding shipping) within one year of purchase. Items must be unopened, unwound, and in new condition. STASH reserves the right to refuse returns or refunds on products that do not meet these requirements.

Shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. STASH is not responsible for lost returns. More information on our online store policies page!

How much yarn do I need?

Sometimes we fall in love with a clever little pattern but we want to use a different yarn instead of the exact yarn called for in the pattern. Maybe that yarn isn’t available, is discontinued, or darn it if we just want to use something even prettier than the original. No matter what the reason, we want to help you calculate that substitution with confidence. We’ve whipped up a FREE yarn substitution calculator so you can confidently purchase your yarn. STASH always recommends purchasing an extra safety skein – because dye lots can be as rare as unicorns. Still need help? Please feel free to contact us and we’ll be happy to give you a hand!

What’s a dye lot?

Each batch of yarn is dyed, and while companies do their best to create a consistent recipe, the colour may vary slightly between dye lots. Your dye lot is typically indicated with a number on the ball band. STASH online has an awesome solution for making sure you get all your yarn from the same dye lot – check it out below:

Does STASH offer yarn winding?

Stash is happy to wind your yarn in store! However, we do not offer winding for online orders. Why? Well, winding your yarn puts a LOT of stress on your fibre, so you should only wind your yarn when you’re ready to use it!
