Rent a cricket loom at STASHCricket Loom Class
$100 plus tax, one week loom rental included

We have revamped our Cricket class so now it is even MORE fun (we didn’t think it was possible but we rose to the challenge!) and comprehensive. In two classes you will learn how to warp a Cricket loom, weave, troubleshoot, remove a project from a loom, plan a project, and read a basic pattern – all while making a Stash Plaid Scarf. All peeps will work on individual looms and are able to bring the loom home in between sessions to noodle around! No previous experience is necessary and there is a $20 discount on the class if peeps bring their own Cricket loom.

Felt Cactus
$50 plus tax, all supplies included

Our good friends at Lunenburg Makery designed the cutest hand sewn cactus projects and we cannot wait to share them with you! This workshop will guide you through the complete project of one mini cactus, including stitch tutorials, sewing tips, and finishing (right down to the cute terracotta pot). No previous experience is necessary.

Macrame Wall Hanging

Modern yet bohemian, macrame has come a loooooong way from your gamma’s plant holders! In our new Macrame Wall Art class we use 100% white cotton rope and found wood to create pieces that are crisp, clean and lookin’ sharp when hanging against any wall in your home. Best of all, no experience is necessary and all supplies are included! How fun! This is a great crafty class to take with a friend.

Modern Embroidery

Pin ups, robots, and rock n’ roll can all be found in modern embroidery patterns and we want you to get in on the fun. This single session class will guide you through using iron-on transfers, basic stitches, project planning, and finishing tips while you start stitching it up! No previous experience required and peeps get to keep their hoops, needles and transfers to keep on stitchin’ on.

Plant Hanger

Create a striking plant hanger for your window and learn the art of macrame while you do it! We will set you up for macrame success and guide you though a variety of macrame knots, tips on cord length, and finishing techniques. Bring your own 8″ (or smaller) pots or pop by Plant after to trick out your creation. No previous experience is necessary.

Spinning 101
$100 plus tax, all supplies included

Get yer’ spin-on with this introduction to spinning on a modern wheel! Learn about wheel anatomy and tools of the trade, fibre types and prep, operating a spinning wheel, plying yarn, balancing yarn, and basic project planning. No previous experience required and all peeps will get to take the spinning wheel home between sessions to practice and play at home! Wheeee!

Tapestry Weaving

Learn the basics of modern tapestry weaving in our two-part class and you will be crafting your own bohemian wall tapestry with plenty of fringe benefits! You will learn how to use a tabletop school loom, plain & textured weaving, rya knots , basic colour blocking techniques, colour planning, and finishing techniques! No previous experience required and all peeps will get to take the school loom between sessions to practice and play at home!

Yarn Painting
$90 plus tax, all supplies included

Roll up your sleeves and discover the art of yarn painting with the talented Suzen Statz. Back by popular demand, this class will demo how to properly and safely prepare dyes, and then will be unleashed to dye your own dream yarns, with discussions about application techniques and colour theory as you go.  The class includes two skeins of yarn for dyeing, and no previous experience is necessary to participate.
